Designer Study Shunto sha

A personal design study created to emulate the work of Kazuhiro Aihara, the Japanese graphic designer known professionally as Shunto Sha. The project took the form of a series of concert posters, each representing a band significant to a different chapter of the designer's life. Background elements were developed in Photoshop, then imported into Illustrator, where typographic compositions, built from song lyrics and album track listings, were integrated to complete each poster. The finished pieces were assembled into 12 x 12-inch panels and arranged into 24 x 36-inch interactive structures that can be reconfigured to generate new poster combinations.
